About Us
A Modern Approach to Eastern Wellness
TaichiSifu is a modern wellness education platform inspired by traditional Eastern movement practices and adapted for contemporary life.
Our programs focus on mobility, breath-led movement, fascia-aware training, posture awareness, and mindful daily practice.
We believe that better movement does not need to be complicated.
Through simple, accessible, and sustainable practices, we help people reconnect with their bodies, move with greater ease, and build long-term wellness habits that fit modern lifestyles.
Why We Created TaichiSifu
Modern life places increasing demands on the body.
Long hours of sitting, screen-based work, repetitive movement patterns, stress accumulation, and shallow breathing can gradually reduce movement quality, body awareness, and physical comfort.
TaichiSifu was created to bridge traditional movement wisdom with the realities of modern living.
Our approach combines timeless movement principles with practical daily application, helping people cultivate greater mobility, balance, coordination, breathing awareness, and overall ease of movement.
Our programs are designed for everyday people—not athletes or performers—and can be integrated into daily routines regardless of age or previous experience.
Meet Your Instructor
TaichiSifu was founded by Chen Zanzhuo, a practitioner and educator of traditional Eastern movement systems with more than three decades of continuous study and teaching experience.
Raised in a traditional martial arts family, Chen began training at an early age and was later specially recruited into Fujian Sports Institute (now Jimei University Sports College), where he received systematic professional training in traditional martial arts and human movement education.
During his studies, he further trained under Professor Gao Chulan, an internationally recognized martial arts educator, international wushu judge, former Dean of Jimei University Sports College, and former President of the Fujian Wushu Association.
Over the course of more than thirty years of practice and teaching, Chen’s work gradually evolved beyond traditional martial arts performance toward movement systems that better support the needs of modern life.
Today, his teaching integrates mobility training, breath-led movement, fascia-oriented movement principles, posture awareness, balance development, and traditional wellness exercises into practical daily routines designed for modern individuals.
Training Background & Lineage
Chen is a sixth-generation inheritor of the Natural Style (Ziranmen) tradition and a long-time practitioner and instructor of Yang-style Tai Chi.
His studies include training under Master Liu Deming, honorary chief coach of the Songshan Shaolin Kung Fu Academy and head of the Natural Style Kung Fu Academy, as well as teacher Wei Qing, a representative of the Tian Zhaolin lineage of Yang-style Tai Chi.
He is also a member of the Chinese Wushu Association and the World Natural Martial Arts Union.
Throughout his career, he has participated in international martial arts exchange events and received recognition for his contributions to traditional movement practice and education.
Our Teaching Philosophy
We believe that meaningful practice should support everyday life.
The goal is not perfection.
The goal is to move naturally, breathe calmly, and maintain a healthier relationship with the body amid the demands of modern living.
As Chen often says:
“True practice should return to daily life—allowing the body to move naturally, the breath to become steady, and the individual to remain balanced within modern life.”
Our Commitment
Every program at TaichiSifu is created with a simple purpose:
To make traditional movement wisdom practical, approachable, and relevant for modern people.
We encourage steady progress over intensity, consistency over complexity, and awareness over performance.
Slow down.
Breathe.
Move with ease.
